DIET expert Gillian McKeith is already driving the jungle celebs crazy - by SCREAMING every time she sees a bug.
The I'm A Celebrity campers are also fed up with the ex-You Are What You Eat host banging on about going to a hotel - and think she's acting to win votes. An insider said: "She has been causing lots of bother by screaming every time she sees a bug - and there are a lot of them in the jungle. She is really overdoing it with the dramatics."
Gillian - who famously prodded people's poo on her show - has struggled to go to the toilet due to her bug phobia.
She finally managed to go but screamed, then said: "It's fine, it's a shadow on a leaf, it looks like the leaf's got legs. Oh my God, I can't do this."
The star also burst into tears after having bugs dumped on her during a task dubbed Not The Ten O'Clock News.
Gillian, 51, explained: "I have a serious phobia to the point I could faint if I see a spider. I feel like I'm having a heart attack."
She had another meltdown on her first night
when she spotted a spider on her bed.
She ended up crying in the Bush Telegraph diary room.
But after calming down, she got into bed and slept like a log.
Britt Ekland was not impressed - and likened her to a child who has had too much sugar.
An insider said: "When she eventually went to bed she slept like a baby and was last to get up the next morning. It just goes to show she can put on the histrionics when she wants to."
Gillian, who says she calls a cab firm to get rid of spiders at home, claimed to have no idea of what awaited her on the hit ITV1 show.
She even thought she could stay in a hotel at night if she wanted.
She said: "I can't imagine Katie Price stayed in the jungle. I'm sure they took her to a hotel overnight."
But the Scot has been repeating that same story in the jungle camp - annoying the celebs.
The insider said: "She has been going on about when they will be able to leave and go to a hotel. Everyone knows that won't happen. The other celebs are starting to get annoyed with her and think she is playing up to the cameras.
"They think she is trying to get sympathy from viewers and get more votes - when in fact it will probably just wind them up."
Another source said: "She is a very odd lady. She is trying to say controversial things for the sake of it in a bid to make an impression.
"She is coming across as a bit grand - which never goes down well with the other contestants or the viewers."
